Traditional root canal treatment was spread across 2–3 visits — partly due to older instruments and partly as a precaution to monitor infection. Modern rotary nickel-titanium files, combined with effective irrigants and better anaesthesia, now allow the entire procedure to be completed safely in a single appointment for the right cases.
Digital X-ray taken. Dr. Anjali Katti assesses whether a single sitting is appropriate for your case. If it is, the procedure begins the same day.
Effective local anaesthesia is administered. You should feel no pain — only mild pressure during the procedure.
Infected pulp is removed. Root canals are cleaned, shaped and disinfected using rotary files and antimicrobial irrigants — all in one appointment.
Canals are filled with gutta-percha and sealed permanently — no temporary dressing or second visit required.
A crown is planned at the same appointment. The treated tooth is protected with a temporary crown until the final crown is placed.
