Braces require a visit to Dr. Akhil Patil every 4–6 weeks for wire adjustments. Each adjustment progressively moves teeth toward the target position.
After braces are removed, a retainer is essential to maintain the corrected position. Dr. Akhil Patil plans the retention phase as part of the overall treatment.

Brackets are bonded to each tooth using dental adhesive. An archwire is threaded through and secured with elastics. The appointment takes 60–90 minutes.
Every 4–6 weeks, the wire is adjusted or changed to continue guiding teeth. Each adjustment may cause mild soreness for 1–3 days.

Once teeth are in their target positions, brackets and wire are removed. Teeth are polished and retainers are made.
